Volunteer
Sharing your time and gifts makes a positive difference in others’ lives. Faith Presbyterian Hospice relies on the talents and dedication of volunteers to provide and enhance our unique services and programs. We have a wide variety of opportunities for how you can help. For more information on how you can volunteer with Faith, please contact Tracy Woodruff at (972) 239-5300 or by email. Volunteer Opportunities Patient Companion: A Patient Companion volunteer shares their time offering socialization and companionship by holding a hand, reading, listening or just offering a quiet presence. Respite: A Respite volunteer shares their time by sitting with the patient while their primary caregiver attends to errands, their own doctor appointments or just have a couple of hours to themselves. Animal Assisted Therapy: AAT volunteers share their four-legged friends with patients who enjoy the companionship of an animal. These four-legged volunteers myst be certified through the Delta Society, or other animal certification program. Administrative: Administrative volunteers share their time in our office helping our different departments with light office duties, such as filing and copying. 11th Hour Volunteer: 11th Volunteers are specially trained in creating a peaceful, calming space for patients who are imminent. Video/Audio Recording: Volunteers who have experience with recording and editing CD's and DVD's for patients who request a Faithful Presence or Video Collage.
